Just a little LUSH bath night {Review of Sorts}

My "small" LUSH purchase.
My “small” LUSH purchase.

In case you weren’t aware Capital District there’s a LUSH Cosmetics store in Crossgates! That’s right, right in our own back yard and that’s going to be deadly to my little wallet. The store (across from Apple) only opened a week ago and within two days of opening they were already out of some prime items. The big one EVERYONE took notice of were the  fresh face masks. You can only get those bad boys in stores. But by Friday night they were GONE.

Good news was they would be back in the following Thursday. So I managed to get the hubbins to drive over to the mall after work. As luck would have it…the masks hadn’t come in yet. My luck they’d turn up today…sure enough they did. Thankfully hubs was willing to drive back over for me…he’s a keeper. I opted to pick up two different masks while i was there.

The first one I grabbed was Love Lettuce. First of all the name is pretty awesome. LUSH’s website describes this fresh face mask as:

“Love Lettuce is our exfoliating ground almond mask that scoops up dirt, oil and debris and washes it all away. Exfoliation is an important part of good skincare, as it removes the buildup of dead skin that can clog your pores and cause impurities. Love Lettuce is a great example of how just a few ingredients can make a fresh, effective product for the skin. We blend calming French lavender oil with seaweed and honey to nourish and soften skin, and to balance oily T-zones.”

Well, that just screamed me. So I tried it tonight…because why wait right? First off it smells good enough to eat! But you shouldn’t. I put a pretty good amount all over my face and let it do it’s thing for somewhere close to 7 minutes (it says anywhere from 5-10 on the container). Once my face started to tingle it was time to wash it away. I must admit my face felt amazing after I rinsed the mask off. Top it all off my face was SUPER smooth too!

I followed up with washing my face again (I was already in the shower as it is). Once I pat my face dry I massaged in Imperialis to finish off my little mini-spa treatment. Even an hour later my face feels amazing and it smells pretty amazing too. I guess you could call me a LUSHIE for life now if I wasn’t before!
