What a week…

It has been a WEEK! First Daylight Savings Time totally messed with the toddler. Let me tell you neither one of us was happy about this, NEITHER ONE OF US. Thankfully his sleep schedule seems to be back to normal at this point. Then there was the weather on Tuesday. Seriously I thought how could this week get worse. I swear I heard Mother Nature say “hold my beer”. We got a lot of it.

I also started working for a new and awesome client. So it’s been interesting balancing being a SAHM who has a part-time job on the side. But never fear I’m calling in the grandparents to help once a week. Which will be a huge help. In the meantime I pull up a tv table to the baby gate and work while he plays or babbles to me. It works…sort of. Mostly it doesn’t because I have mommy guilt for doing it. But the work has to get done.

Just to give you an idea on how busy last week was…I started this post on Saturday…I’m publishing it on Monday. Yeah…

AKA SNOW!  Winter Storm Juno is currently hitting NYC and it does not look like good times.  It appears the city will be getting a shitload of snow.  While here in Upstate NY (there is a difference) we’ll have close to a foot of snow by the time all is said and done.  Which is a foot too much for me thank you.  It messes with my commute, gone are the days when I worked for a college so we had to close for the safety of the students.  Now we might open late or maybe get a delay, but I don’t think we’ll close.  Our NYC office did for obvious reasons.

I’m ok with it.  No really I am.  Sure I could catch up on my Netflix binge or find something new on Amazon Prime…Transparent was awesome!  I could even work on a few more blog posts or read.  But it’s cool I’ve got 2 1/2 weeks of going nowhere coming up really quickly. Let’s ease into that shall we?

The one thing I’m actually really irked about it I feel like my local high school closes A LOT more now that I’m not in high school.  I remember those days getting up early having to wait until they got to the “N”‘s and HOPING we would close.  Usually we did, but when we didn’t it was not good times in our house.

At least now when I go to work I can wear jeans so I don’t have to worry about wrecking my dress pants.  But man oh man would a snow day be nice….who am I kidding?  Time to put some ice cubes in the toilet!

Oh and a few more funnies for your snowmaggedon evening…

We're somewhere in the six bottle area.
We’re somewhere in the six bottle area.

So apparently we are about to get a lot of the white stuff here in Upstate New York.  Which has brought this kind of behavior out in some people.

Come on people it isn’t that bad.  Plus as my husband pointed out “if you didn’t buy enough food when last you went to market…well, you need to look at how you shop.”  He has a point.  However, IF we run out of milk he’s the one who will be cold walking to Stewarts and not me kids!

My plan for this snowy weekend is to do as little as possible.  I’ve been busting my rear all week, plus my knee is still very angry with me.  So there will be naps.  There will be copious amounts of tea had.  I will also be catching up on TV.  Be warned there may be spoilers for your beyond this point for Bones and How I Met Your Mother.

There may even be some How I Met Your Mother.  I’m only up to this episode so far.

For the love of Ted just get to who the mother is ALREADY!!  Please don’t spoil it for me.  I’m really enjoying it so far and also a little sad to be so far behind.  As it is I’m all caught up on Bones to a point too.  I just finished last season where Booth, because of Pelant tells Brennan he can’t marry her!  TV you are killing me!!

Are you getting any snow where you are?  What are your plans?  First thing for me is the nap with this guy.
